St Catherine’s to hold Swim Australia™ Teacher Course
St Catherine’s invites all interested community members to enrol in a Swim Australia™ Teacher Course. Hosted at the St Catherine’s School Marigold Southey Sports & Aquatic Centre on
Saturday 2 December
8.00am-5.00pm
The course costs $320 includes:
- Course Theory CD ROM
- course attendance
- ASCTA complimentary basic membership
- refreshment breaks
- accreditation valid for 4 years
- pool entry
- Living with Water DVD
- Statement/s of Attainment
- insurance cover from enrolment up to one month after course requirements are completed*
Students who successfully complete the relevant requirements are issued with a Statement of Attainment with one or more of the following competencies from the Community Recreation Industry Training Package:
SISCAQU202A – Perform basic water rescues
SISCAQU308A – Instruct water familiarisation, buoyancy and mobility skills
SISCAQU309A – Instruct clients in water safety and survival skills
SISCAQU310A – Instruct swimming strokes
SISCCRO302A – Apply legal and ethical instructional skills
